War with Doubt

Description

"Can Khajiit do this on his own?" Kadzait wondered to himself, deep in his thoughts. He had successfully gone into Sovengarde and gained entrance into the Hall of Valor by proving his worth to the guardian Tsun. He has however been struck with grief and self-doubt as soon as he touched the grounds of Skuldafn, which led to the portal that leads into Sovengarde. Kharjo was nowhere to be found and Kadzait was sure he was unable to return to his wife Shahvee until the defeat of Alduin. He could not even recruit any other individuals for help, such as Lydia or J'Zargo. Isolation had successfully crept in.

Kadzait was meant to seek help from the three heroes (Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, Hakon One-Eye, and Felldir the Old), who had previously defeated Alduin. Doubt was still in his mind as he took a moment to himself to think of a plan as well as the times of yesterday.

He arrived in Skyrim a prisoner for simply crossing the border (to end beast-human racism), and was alongside Ralof and Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm and leader of the Stormcloaks. Ralof had been kind to Kadzait, and the Jarl seemed like a good man. He later learned from the Imperial General Tullius that Ulfric had used a Shout of some sort to kill the High King. This is where Alduin and Kadzait first met. When it was Kadzait's turn to be executed, Alduin arrived and attacked Helgen, the town where the execution of the prisoners was taking place. The Imperials attempted to rally a defense for those who could not fight, but confusion and panic made it difficult. During said confusion, Ralof rallied the Khajiit to escape with him, and Kadzait did so. The pair escaped Helgen and made Riverwood their resting place. It was here that Ralof tried to recruit Kadzait into the Stormcloaks, which Kadzait declined.

He later stumbled into the Argonian Assemblage (alongside then companion Lydia, who Kadzait recruited after killing his first dragon) in Windhelm. It was a small location off the docks, and it confused the Khajiit as he saw how huge Windhelm was. Still, he was rescued by the Argonian Scouts-Many-Marshes, as 'stumbled' meant 'fall into the cold river'. He made friends with the Argonians present, and was swept off his paws by Shahvee the Argonian, who he focused most of his attention on. It was also during this time Kadzait met with a Khajiit Trading Caravan, and he began his trading with them.

Kadzait hated Windhelm for the humans' 'mistreatment' for anyone not human, and wanted little to do with it.

Winterhold would be a temporary hub for the Khajiit, as he found a College for Mages stationed there. He applied and successfully gained entrance into the prestigious school. During this time, Kadzait proposed to Shahvee, and became her husband. If he is not in the College, he stays with Shahvee in the Argonian Assemblage.

During his 'break' from the College, Kadzait decided to tr and mark the major cities of Skyrim on his map. He got lost, and ended up back in Windhelm. However, he was glad he got lost, for he found a new friend, a friend he could count on: Kharjo the Khajiit, warrior-guard to another Khajiit Caravan. The two would become nearly inseparable.

Kadzait finished his studies in the College, and became the Archmage after a few 'minor' incidents. He gained the friendship of J'Zargo, a Mage Khajiit who was as prideful as he was careless in magic.

After marking some major cities and earning gold by killing bandits, occasional dragons (for some reason their numbers became numerous), and rare dragons, Kadzait had enough gold to buy a house. The Khajiit did buy the house, which is located in his favorite city, Whiterun. Shahvee has moved there with Khajiit and runs a weapons store while Kadzait is out adventuring.

Kadzait then decided it was time to answer the call of some old fellows who have apparently been waiting for the Dragonborn. Apparently, Kadzait is the current Dragonborn, not by choice but by birth. This annoyed the Khajiit, for he wanted to choose who and what he wanted to be. He however learned what he needed to learn and did as he was told. The threat of Alduin, the dragon who 'saved' him in Helgen, was large. He gained a new ally as well in the form of an elderly dragon named Paarthurnax. Kadzait and Kharjo were also able to fight and nearly defeat Alduin atop the mountain.

"Can I really do this on my own?" Kadzait thought again, bringing himself back to the present. He was sitting upon a long table with food, yet these were not the objects of his attention. "I must... If Khajiit sees his friends again. If Khajiit wishes to return to Elsweyr, to my brother, my parents..." He thought now of the people who had given him love, trust, loyalty, respect, and smiles.

Haaz Do'Ashni. Kadzait's older brother. The elder Khajiit has always teased the youth Khajiit, but he meant well. He wanted Kadzait to grow up happy. He was Kadzait's mentor, teaching him what he needed to know: the roots of the Khajiit, their proud history, and their bloodline. Kadzait couldn't ask for a better brother. even though he always lost their fights.

The Do'Ashni Parents - Kadzait's Mother and Father. His love for his parents was great, and he wanted to support them in any way he could. This however would often lead him into reckless adventures, and he would often drag his older brother into trouble.

Shahvee the Argonian - Kazait's first love, only love, and wife. Kadzait was first hypnotized by her beauty. When this subsided, however, Kadzait began to know Shahvee better. He loved her positive attitude towards any given situation and moment. She currently runs a store in Whiterun.

Kharjo the Khajiit - One of Kadzait's true friends in Skyrim. Kharjo, despite being used as the bait while Kadzait lobs a fireball from afar, enjoys Kadzait's company and the other way around. The two share the same admiration for their homeland Elsweyr, and wish for a land where the beasts were not ridiculed.

J'Zargo, Khajiit Mage - Another true friend of Kadzait, despite meeting on troubled terms. J'Zargo's pride was high for his own skills, yet Kadzait saw this as confidence. Despite not spending enough time with each other, both have an admiration that 'another Khajiit is setting a fine example for the rest of us'.

The Argonian Dagger, Dagger-of-the-Marsh (Not actually in the game; my second character playthrough) - The enigmatic bisexual Argonian reunited with Kadzait weeks into his marriage with Shahvee. Despite differences in romantic experiences, Kadzait found another Argonian to prove to the world that Argonians and Khajiits can work together.

Vaeri the Khajiit (Hi, Vae! :D) - Kadzait befriended another Khajiit around three days after his proposal and marriage to Shahvee. Kadzait was excited to befriend another Khajiit in Skyrim, and did his best to impress her. He failed miserably when he tried to help her utilize the powers of Restoration. He considers this event a failure, and was one of the reasons why he went to the College of Magic.

Kadzait smiled, and stood from the table. He would find the heroes, and with their help, he may have a chance to return to his friends.

I honestly wish the final fight against Alduin was one on one, I wanted him alone, not having help kind of took away from the victory it just seemed far to easy, for Alduin being The World Eater and all, he seemed rather weak.
